This is where it starts. From our Work From Home Series - a six mix for white lovers. Wines from Australia, France and Italy.
Scala Bianco 2019 - A new release from the wonderfully underrated Scala winery in Calabria. This delicious wine is 100% Greco, handpicked from the estate’s certified organic vineyards. On the nose and palate you’ll find an abundance of floral, musk, white flower and tropical fruit aromas and flavours. Dry and crisp, with refreshing lemon acidity. Perfect warm weather drinking.
Medhurst Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2019 - “The nose shows hints of grapefruit and stone fruit, both rich and flavoursome yet subtle. No real oak influence, but plenty of mealy, flinty notes. The palate is poised and powerful, showing off a benchmark Yarra Valley vintage. This wine will look terrific over the medium term.” Winemaker's notes.
De Iuliis Semillon 2020 - The De Iuliis Semillon 2020 is light, fresh and zesty, with lime and lemony flavours. You'll find a juicy mid-palate and a hint of beeswax. A great drink now wine, but I’m still going to keep a couple.
Bollini Pinot Grigio 2019 - “Straw yellow in colour, clear-cut and delicate on the nose, with scents of acacia flowers, minerals and pear. The fresh natural acidity supports the wine” Winemaker’s notes.
Rieslingfreak No.4 Eden Valley Riesling 2019 - "Fresh, bright, aromatic. White flowers, gooseberries. Talc and slate. Great lemon, limes, with a lingering acid back bone. The vibrancy of the palate has you salivating for more. A wine which will go the distance now and in time." Winemaker's notes. 95 points from James Halliday.
Domaine Pichot Sec Vouvray 2018 - Exceptional intensity - perfume, finesse and lip-smacking freshness. Old vine depth with texture and richness. 3 grams residual sugar (ie. dry) with refreshing balanced acidity. Stunning.
