A house we are not that familiar with in Australia, but one we should be.
"De Sousa has risen to a rightful place among Champagne's great family estates under Erick de Sousa's visionary guidance over the past quarter century. Theirs are masterfully grown and crafted wines, every one of which is brilliantly mineral, profoundly exact and beautifully fresh." Tyson Stelzer's The Champagen Guide 2020-2021.
"Our 'Brut Tradition' Champagne is a blend of several vintages. It owes its roundness to the 40% Pinot Noir, its vinosity to the 10% Meunier and its freshness to the 50% Chardonnay. The grapes come from vines harvested at complete maturity. Colour : Clear and brilliant, with hints of green. Forms a thick, tight mousse when poured and leaves a delicate, long-lasting "necklace" of bubbles at the surface. The nose is elegant and floral but also very expressive and intense, revealing a certain finesse. There's a touch of mimosa, followed by citrus and ripened fruit." Winemaker's notes.
