A delicious mix of Australian whites and reds to remind you how good our winemakers are.
Medhurst Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2019 - “Bright pale straw with green hues, extremely vibrant and brilliant in the glass. The nose shows hints of grapefruit and stone fruit, both rich and flavoursome yet subtle. No real oak influence, but plenty of mealy, flinty notes. The palate is poised and powerful, showing off a benchmark Yarra Valley vintage. Again oak in the background it simply helps usher the beautiful pure fruit to the back of an effortless long and fine palate. This wine will look terrific over the medium term.” Winemaker's notes.
Rieslingfreak No.4 Eden Valley Riesling 2021 - “The bouquet leaps forth with aromas of white florals, sweet spice, lime and quince. The palate is elegant yet assuredly structured with foundational slate-like minerality running beneath the more delicate flavours of citrus and rosewater. The racy natural acidity, which is a hallmark of the vintage, runs the length of the palate, drawing through to a fine, crisp finish and lingering lusciously in the mouth long after the wine has gone.” Winemaker's notes.
De Iuliis Single Vineyard The Garden Hunter Valley Semillon 2019 - “The lines are taut, the flavour is pristine. This bristles through the palate in excellent style, its lemon and lemongrass flavours strung in precise place. It goes without saying that an excellent future is in store.” 96 points, Halliday Wine Companion (and a special value offer). Included in Halliday’s ‘Best of the Best’ 2021 varietal winners in the semillon category.
Terre a Terre Crayeres Vineyard Cabernet Franc Shiraz 2018 - “The 63% of Cabernet Franc makes its delicate mark, with ink and violet florals, sweet anise and fresh, well-defined blackberry and plum. It is medium-bodied, with subtle cedar oak, a fine, chalky plume of tannins and persistent acidity. A unique, lissom red, with lovely balance and finesse for the price.” 95 points, Decanter. Dec 2020.
Head Red GSM 2019 - “50% grenache, 30% mataro and 20% shiraz from 25-76yo vines, wild yeast-open fermented with 10% whole bunches. Beautifully and harmoniously structured and textured, clarity and purity its catchwords.” 96 points, James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion.
Mount MacLeod Pinot Noir 2020 - Top value pinot from Gippsland. “It's a silky Pinot with a fleshy, textural palate and a heady mix of red fruit, loads of spice and forest-floor savouriness.” Bibendum Wine Co.
