Domestic Bliss Mix
A delicious mix of Australian whites and reds to remind you how good our winemakers are.
Rieslingfreak No.4 Eden Valley Riesling 2019 - "Fresh, bright, aromatic. White flowers, gooseberries. Talc and slate. Great lemon, limes, with a lingering acid back bone. The vibrancy of the palate has you salivating for more. A wine which will go the distance now and in time." Winemaker's notes. 95 points from James Halliday.
Medhurst Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2019 - "Bright pale straw with green hues, extremely vibrant and brilliant in the glass. The nose shows hints of grapefruit and stone fruit, both rich and flavoursome yet subtle. No real oak influence, but plenty of mealy, flinty notes. The palate is poised and powerful, showing off a benchmark Yarra Valley vintage. Again oak in the background it simply helps usher the beautiful pure fruit to the back of an effortless long and fine palate. This wine will look terrific over the medium term." Winemaker's notes.
De Iuliis Semillon 2020 - The De Iuliis Semillon 2020 is light, fresh and zesty, with lime and lemony flavours. You'll find a juicy mid-palate and a hint of beeswax. A great drink now wine, but I’m still going to keep a couple.
Head Red GSM 2019 - "50% grenache, 30% mataro and 20% shiraz from 25-76yo vines, wild yeast-open fermented with 10% whole bunches. Beautifully and harmoniously structured and textured, clarity and purity its catchwords. 96 points, James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion.
Wrattonbully Red 2016 - “It’s a swish red wine. Characterful. It tastes of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, mint and anise and while it serves a significant amount of flavour and is spread with tannin, it feels elegant, seamless and svelte from start to finish.” 95 points, James Halliday Wine 2020 Companion.
Nunc Pinot Noir 2018 - "A savoury, amaro-and-tea-leaf-inflected Pinot, with lifted notes of red cherry, raspberry and rose leading to a palate that is juicy and bright, medium-bodied, and with a deliciously smoky-spicy close." Winemaker's notes.
