Head Wines Head Red Shiraz 2018 - "There's a lot happening here, all of it good. 80% is sourced from the Eden Valley, 20% the Barossa Valley, co-fermented on skins for 14 days, matured in French oak (10% new), the barrel size ranging from 225L to 2250L. There's a poultice of red and black fruits and ribbons of fine, ripe tannins. You can't deny a wine like this." 96 points, James Halliday (Halliday Wine Companion).
Nunc Pinot Noir 2018 -"A savoury, amaro-and-tea-leaf-inflected Pinot, with lifted notes of red cherry, raspberry and rose leading to a palate that is juicy and bright, medium-bodied, and with a deliciously smoky-spicy close." Winemaker's notes.
Terre a Terre Wrattonbully Red 2016 -“It’s a swish red wine. Characterful. It tastes of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, mint and anise and while it serves a significant amount of flavour and is spread with tannin, it feels elegant, seamless and svelte from start to finish.” 95 points, James Halliday Wine 2020 Companion.
Cirillo Estate Vincent Grenache 2019 -This really has to be one of the most underrated wines in the country. 100% grenache sourced from 100+ year old vines in the Barossa. Made with only a light touch of old oak, the wine is always fresh and bright.
Izway Mates Aglianico 2019 - "Made in a Beaujolais style from 100% Aglianico, Mates is layered and intriguing. Overtly floral notes override the subtle dark fruit aromas and compliment the earthy and savoury palate. The tannin structure and crisp natural acidity make this a very versatile drink." Winemaker's notes.
Head Red GSM 2019 - "50% grenache, 30% mataro and 20% shiraz from 25-76yo vines, wild yeast-open fermented with 10% whole bunches. Beautifully and harmoniously structured and textured, clarity and purity its catchwords. 96 points, James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion.
