Delicious Aussie Whites - perfect for entertaining at home.
Terre do Rio Arinto 2019 - An estate grown vineyard located in the Riverland, South Australia. This rare vineyard has been dedicated to the exploration of Portuguese grape varieties. Hand pruned, hand harvested and handmade, this delicious mid-weight white has notes of citrus and cammomile.
Printhie Mountain Range Pinot Gris 2019 - "A very good gris, an exciting category of Australian wine of the moment. Medium-bodied, while streaming orange blossom, baked apple, cinnamon spice and pear gelato along a skein of gentle phenolics and moderate acidity. Flavoursome and winning." 91 points and a Special Value Rating, Halliday Wine Companion.
Spinifex Vermentino 2019 - This is a terrific example of this variety, sourced from a one-acre vineyard growing on hard, ironstone-rich soil in one of the highest parts of Koonunga Hill in Barossa's extreme north. Expect a fabulous fleshy texture that is nonetheless mouth-watering and vibrant with tangy acidity and powdery grip from the subtle, whole-bunch ferment notes.
Rieslingfreak No.4 Eden Valley Riesling 2021 - "The bouquet leaps forth with aromas of white florals, sweet spice, lime and quince. The palate is elegant yet assuredly structured with foundational slate-like minerality running beneath the more delicate flavours of citrus and rosewater. The racy natural acidity, which is a hallmark of the vintage, runs the length of the palate, drawing through to a fine, crisp finish and lingering lusciously in the mouth long after the wine has gone." Winemaker's notes.
Medhurst Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2019 - "Bright pale straw with green hues, extremely vibrant and brilliant in the glass. The nose shows hints of grapefruit and stone fruit, both rich and flavoursome yet subtle. No real oak influence, but plenty of mealy, flinty notes. The palate is poised and powerful, showing off a benchmark Yarra Valley vintage. Again oak in the background it simply helps usher the beautiful pure fruit to the back of an effortless long and fine palate. This wine will look terrific over the medium term." Winemaker's notes.
De Iuliis Single Vineyard The Garden Hunter Valley Semillon 2019 - “The lines are taut, the flavour is pristine. This bristles through the palate in excellent style, its lemon and lemongrass flavours strung in precise place. It goes without saying that an excellent future is in store.” 96 points, Halliday Wine Companion (and a special value offer). Included in Halliday’s ‘Best of the Best’ 2021 varietal winners in the semillon category.
