Three whites and three rosés - crisp and refreshing... because sometimes it's just the vibe.
Bollini Pinot Grigio 2020
Terrific grigio from the north east of Italy. “Straw yellow in colour, clear-cut and delicate on the nose, with scents of acacia flowers, minerals and pear. The fresh natural acidity supports the wine.” Winemaker’s notes.
Langlois-Chateau Saumur Blanc 2018
100% chenin blanc from the Loire. The wine is a clear, light greeny-gold. On the nose and palate you'll find fresh melon, green apples, citrus and tropical fruit. A subtle hay/grassy character makes it just a touch like a Hunter Semillon. Medium-to-light-bodied with crisp tart green apples on the finish and a hint of Euro savouriness and minerality. This is why many regard the Loire as the home of great value drinking. Perfect mid-week French tipple.
Scala Ciro DOC Bianco 2019
100% greco handpicked off organic vineyards from the wonderfully underrated Scala winery in Calabria. On the nose and palate you’ll find an abundance of floral, musk, white flower and tropical fruit aromas and flavours. Dry and crisp, with refreshing lemon acidity. At 12% and with it's cool retro label, it’s perfect warm weather drinking.
Spinifex Rose 2019
“It's true that this displays juicy fruit and an element of texture but it offers a lot more besides. It's spicy, slipped with pomegranate, pale salmon in colour, and carries highlights of orange peel and fennel. It works simply as a refreshing drink but those who stop to contemplate will be rewarded.” 94 points and Special Value Rating, Halliday Wine Companion.
Medhurst Rose 2020
“Very pale copper with a bright vibrant pink hue. Deliciously elusive fresh fruits including strawberry and raspberry are supported by hints of fennel and white blossom of jasmine. The palate is savoury and refined with a supple creamy texture. The finish to the wine is superb, fresh fruits and a long chalky delicate phenolic edge that is trademark of this single vineyard wine.” Winemaker's notes.
Chateau Riotor Rosé 2018
“Pale brilliant pink. Lively, mineral-accented orange zest, strawberry and floral scents show very good clarity and pick up a spicy nuance with aeration. Nicely concentrated yet lively on the palate, offering incisive red berry, blood orange and floral pastille flavors underscored by a dusty mineral quality. Shows sharp delineation and cut on the finish, which hangs on with strong tenacity.” 91 points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media, August 2019.
